I'm late, I'm late for...

A very important date.
No time to say hello, good-bye,
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late
I'm late and when I wave,
I lose the time I save.
My fuzzy ears and whiskers
Took me too much time to shave.
I run and then I hop, hop, hop,
I wish that I could fly.
There's danger if I dare to
Stop and here's a reason why:
I'm over-due, I'm in a rabbit stew.
Can't even say good-bye,

Hello, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.

Thank you White Rabbit I could not have said it better!

Hello my dear NSK's,

Your patterns and dyer's notes are up and we will be starting to ship tomorrow. We had to wait on the printer for a day. We were going to ship today but no matter how much hopping we did we could nto make it happen.

I hope you have as much fun knitting these as we did creating them!

I am assuming by now everyone has gotten their yarn from last time and seen their tags.

While we are patiently waititng for this months yarn let us play yarn-tag-match-up.

First question is what is on the back of your tags?

There are 14  draconic names or types of dragons on the back of the Dragon Song tags. Each on is from something mythical, fictional and mostly popular.

Here is the list of dragon names or types of dragons on the back of your tags. Your mission is to name the author, or book or story or movie or game that said dragon comes from.

Golden Dragon
Fire lizards
Draco Nobilis
Common Welsh Greens

The first person to guess them all wins a skein of our new Super Sparkle and our Tigger Targhee!!

Ready, set go!!!!

1. Golden Dragon - Pern novels - Queen Dragon, eg.Ramoth impressed by Lessa - Dragonflight
2. Drago (or Draco) is the Constellation - or from Dragonball Z
3. Fracktail - Supermario
4. Stormfly - How to Train your Dragon series
5. Tiamat - Dragon Goddess, Dungeons and dragons

Just b/c the 1st user won doesn't mean we can't play

Golden Dragon - from the game of soccer/football, a Sierra Leone football club (soccer team)

Drago - From the movie Rocky IV, and subsequently the game of boxing (if fictional)

Fracktail - apparently from Super Paper Mario, but sounds more like a natural gas protestors' effigial mascot

Stormfly - from How To Train Your Dragon, at least the movie, dunno about the books.

Tiamat - Ancient Mesopotamian goddess of the sea, who I could'a sworn showed up in THE Epic of Gilgamesh, but I don't see her referenced there. Huh. (Also, one of two I know off the top of my head; three if we count Ivan Drago.)

Rhaegal - From the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin; technically makes its first appearance in the first book (A Game of Thrones), but isn't named until The second (A Clash of Kings) (also, the second one I knew without looking it up, AND the one that wound up on my label! , AND the biggest reason I decided to do this even tho the first commenter nailed it because I figured maybe I could make the excuse that you never said TV shows, and the book has an "A" on the front of it...and then I went out of my way to make them mildly amusing, so...kinda shot myself in the foot there)

Fire Lizards - From Anne McCafferty's Pern series, and probably also a drink at any Harvard Square bar.

Elliot - Pete's titular Dragon, at least in the original (who knows if they'll stick with that name for the remake)

Draco Nobilis - from Terry Pratchett's Diskworld series, and now I'm sad. (Also, probably what Malfoy refers to himself when he's feeling down. That sounds like something he'd do.)

Smaug - from hiliariously over-pronounced trailers for the second Hobbit movie, The Desolation of SMAH-OWWWWWWWG.

Ruth - also Ann McCafferty. Also (I think) my first-grade teacher who borrowed a book on constellations from me, returned it busted to hell, and then told me that's how I'd given it to her. Over 25 years ago, I'm still not over it. I wouldn't call her a dragon, tho. My seond grade teacher, on the other hand...

Common Welsh Greens - JK Rowling's Harry Potter series (which I still haven't read because everyone told me I *had* to read it, so I finally said I would 2 years after the last person told me I had to read it. I still haven't had to worry about picking up a copy. Harry Potter fans, you're nuts, and I'm just not that into fantasy, sorry.)

Norbet - Also from the game of football. The Norbets are an Australian football team. ***** The More You Know!

Saphira - from Eragon, at least the movie. I hear they loves mall makeup shops, but Mac is too expensive for their tastes.
