Frequently Asked Questions - Gift Certificates

Choose from US (Domestic), Canadian,  or International Sock Club gift certificates, based on where your recipient lives.  Enter the gift recipient's e-mail address, optionally a personal message, and then click “Add to cart.”

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase a gift certificate a confirmation email, with a redemption code, is immediately sent to the email address associated with the account. If you do not want your loved one (recipient) to get this email you will need to enter your email address instead of theirs. Unfortuanately, this then creates the, how does the recipient redeem the gift certificate issue? Please see; Redeeming Gift Certificate Under Someone Else's Account, in the FAQs section below.

On the next page, click “Checkout.” Complete your billing information, read and agree to the terms of service and choose your payment method. You DO NOT need to enter a shipping address for your recipient because they will do that when they redeem the certificate.

Once you have checked out and completed payment, you will be able print out a PDF Gift Certificate to give your recipient (nothing is physically mailed out). The website will also automatically create a user account with the recipient's e-mail address and credit their account with the amount of the gift certificate.

If you pay via Paypal, make sure you return to the RSC site, where your order number will be displayed and there will be a link for you to click to download and print your gift certificate.

If you need to reprint your gift certificate for any reason, simply login to your account, click on “My Account” and then “Files.” Click on the gift certificate to download it and print it again.

If you've been sent a gift certificate, it's waiting for you in your Rockin' Sock Club account.

1. Follow the link in the email you were sent. If you're a new user, click Create new account. Skip the next step.

2. For a returning Notorious Sock Knitter and Rockin' Sock Club member only, enter your username and password. (If you don't remember your password, the system can resend you one to your email address associated with your account. If you'd prefer, we can reset your password via email.)

3. After you login, you will be on a page that says My Account. Your gift certificate will be listed there.

4. Click on Purchase (in the center at the top of the page), add a 2016 US, Canada, or International Rockin' Sock Club Membership (not another Gift Certificate!) to your cart and proceed to checkout. It will ask for your billing address. If desired, check the box to make it's the same as your delivery address. Check the "I agree with the Terms of Service" box, after reading it of course. At the bottom of the form, you should see the payment option for Gift Certificate beneath PayPal and Credit Card options. Select that and click Review Order button. Verify all your information is correct and click Submit Order button.

If you were given a gift certificate and the giver wanted it to be a surprise, they set up the account in their name so you (the recipient) would not recieve an confirmation email and ruin the surprise.

If you DON'T HAVE a Sock Club account yet, in order to redeem it now here it what needs to happen:

1. It's convoluted, so bear with us. What essentially needs to happen is the giver purchases a new gift certificate with the old gift certificate info/account and has it sent to the actual recipient, instead of themselves, this time around.

2. To do this, said giver, who has the actual account associated with the gift certificate that they purchased, logs into that account and purchases a new gift certificate, then has it sent to the correct recipient this time around. No money actually changes hands – it's essentially just transferring the gift certificate from one account to another.

If you HAVE a Sock Club account, take the following steps:

1. Log into your own account

2. Clicking on the "Edit My Account" link that's in the dropdown menu under "My Account"

3. Scroll down to the "Gift Certificates" box, which says: "If you have a Gift Certificate code, you can enter it here. Its value will be added to your account, and will be available to use during Checkout."

4. Enter the gift certificate code in that box, as directed. You will have to get the code from the person who purchased the gift certificate for you. The code is in the order confirmation email from us to them that they recieved when they originally purchased the gift certificate.

5. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Save"
