I love the challenge of the homework for Camp Jabberwonky, so I went searching the Net for inspiration. As expected there is a ton of information/forums/opinions/interpretations etc on Alice in Wonderland and her many adventures with all the characters that she meets along the way.

John Tenniel's original drawing of the Jabberwocky makes this character out to be a pretty mean looking individual even though he is sporting a waistcoat that would have one think that maybe he is a gentleman.

I'm looking forward to everyone's interpretation of this grizzly looking character.

Beware of the Red Queen or you'll find yourself headless!

With vorpal needle and string in hand - off I go down the rabbit hole.

See you there!!

Jabberwonky Homework

I did a bit of web searching also as I've never seen a jabberwocky ( I know, I've never seen Alice in Wonderland either)I watched a few movie trailers so hopefully I can pull this off!! I never thought I would knit a boobie either so I think this will be much easier!! Soooo looking forward to camp!!!!

Jabberwonky

Well my jabberwonky is nearly done, now if I can just get my little grandbaby Avery (2) to let go of him long enough to take to camp!!! Nice to know he will have a home and be well loved!!

I'm in the "nearly done"

I'm in the "nearly done" category, too... for a reasonably large value of "nearly".

What fun to know that Avery has already claimed your wonky! Can't wait to see... it? (Do jabberwonkys have genders?)

Jabber Gender?

I'm not sure if they really have genders but to a 2 year old they must! "he" is taking a nap with her right now! I keep "oh one more thing..." to "him" but I really just need to let it go!!
